Information We Collect

We collect information to deliver accessible software, process financial transactions, and manage our community reinvestment initiatives.

  • Personal Data: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address provided when you contact us, register an account, or apply for scholarships.

  • Financial and Transaction Data: Billing address, donation history, transaction amounts, and payment methods.

  • Usage and Technical Data: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, and device data automatically collected via cookies when you interact with our platforms.

Payment and Donation Processing

Your financial security is our highest priority.

  • No Retention of Full Card Details: We do not directly store or process your complete credit card numbers, bank account details, or CVV codes on our servers.

  • Third-Party Processors: All financial transactions and donations are handled securely by PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

  • Data Shared for Processing: When you make a payment, your billing information is passed securely to our payment processors via encryption to complete the transaction.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to fulfill our mission, process transactions, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal or financial information.

  • To process, confirm, and issue receipts for your donations and financial payments.

  • To build, maintain, and optimize our software solutions.

  • To manage scholarship applications and distribute learning resources.

  • To detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud or unauthorized financial transactions.

  • To ensure transparency, security, and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing Your Information

We only share information when necessary to deliver our services, process payments, or uplift our community programs.

  • With Financial Institutions: Payment processors, banking partners, and card networks to facilitate security checks and transaction clearing.

  • With Service Providers: Trusted third parties who host our software, process data, or assist in scholarship administration under strict confidentiality agreements.

  • For Legal Reasons: To comply with tax reporting laws (such as issuing donation receipts), regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) laws, or enforceable governmental requests.

Data Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures, including Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) encryption, to protect your personal and financial information. While we strive to protect your data, no digital storage or transmission method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may hold specific rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access and Correction: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you or ask us to correct inaccuracies.

  • Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to mandatory financial record-keeping laws (such as tax compliance for donations).

  • Opt-Out: You can opt out of receiving promotional or community update emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link

Children's Privacy

Because our mission supports students, we take children's privacy seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable legal age) without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If we learn we have collected such data inadvertently, we will delete it immediately.
